For those interested in understanding where we are on the prophetic clock, then this post is for you. I will try my best to break this graph down so that just about everyone will be able to follow and understand. In the meantime, try your best to study the graph above.
I would like to start by focusing on one of the most profound prophetic scriptures in the Bible. I have added emphasis to the key words….
24 “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem, unto the Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks, and sixy two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after sixty two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 He will confirm the agreement with many people for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put an end to sacrifices and offerings. The idolatry that causes devastation will be supported until the end when the same fate is poured out on the one who devastates.”
Daniel 9: 24-27 (emphasis added)
Most bible prophecy experts believe that 69 weeks (7+62) have been fulfilled already and that we are awaiting the Anti-Christ (AC) to make a covenant with the Jewish People that will initiate the 70th week or final 7 years until the return of the Messiah.
By the end of this post, I will prove to you that we are in fact in the 70th week now by using simple math and logic; However, I do not believe that the 70th week (all 7 years) represents the tribulation. Rather, it is the week beyond the 70th that is truly the final tribulation week. I promise you that there is simple math and logic behind this statement.
Understanding The Decree to the 2015 Jubilee
Most prophecy experts agree that the official Decree by Artaxerxes for the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem took place between 448 to 444 BC. This date is what initiated this prophecy in verse 25. From the initiation of the decree, there would be 7 week plus 62 weeks or a total of 69 weeks. A week in Bible prophecy is 7 years. Thus there would be 483 years until the Messiah would be cut off or die. There are a few ways to calculate the years. My preference is to use 360 days per year and not the solar year of 365.24 days per year. There is a very good reason for this as I will explain later. The math is simple….
69 weeks x (360 x 7) = 173,880 lunar days / 365.24 days per solar year = 476 solar years
Thus, (476 BC- 446 BC – 1 = 29 AD) This would be the approximate year that the Messiah would be cut off or die according to this prophecy. The scripture states that Yahshua (Jesus) was this Messiah who was the suffering servant who died on Passover, placed in the grave on the feast of Unleavened Bread and resurrected on the feast of First-fruits. The graph clearly illustrates this by the large cross with the 7 + 62 weeks indicating this monumental moment.
The Prophetic Clock Stopped When the Messiah Died at 62 Weeks
It is important to realize that at that moment in time, the Daniel Chapter 9 Prophetic clock stopped. It is as if the Creator took the batteries out. Time kept on moving forward; however, the prophetic clock stopped. At that moment, we entered the Church Age of Grace as it is known so well today. Most would agree that we are still in the Church Age right now, awaiting the beginning of the 70th week.
I would like to propose to you that there was a very specific day when the Church Age ended and we entered the Messianic Age or essentially a day when the Prophetic clock once again began to tick.
June 7th, 1967 – The Day the Prophetic Clock Began
To help explain this concept of the Church Age ending and the Messianic Age beginning on 6/7/67, I have included the above graph titled, ” The Messianic Age Graph”. Keep in mind that the reason that this date is so significant is because 6/7/67 is the precise day when the Jewish people reclaimed Jerusalem under their dominion for the first time in over 2,500 years during the 6 Day War. This lines up with verse 24, “70 weeks are determined for your people (the Jewish people) and the holy city (Jerusalem), and verse 25, “shall be 7 weeks and 62 weeks”.
Keep in mind that the Messiah’s Jubilee is 7 weeks and 7 weeks is a jubilee. A jubilee is made up of 7 sets of weeks and each week in 7 years with the final year being the Shemitah year or the sabbath of years. Levitucus 25: 8-10 describes a jubilee as being 49 years (7 x 7) and then on Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement (the 10th day of the 7th month) is when the shofar is to be blown in order to announce the beginning of the 50th year of Jubilee.
Thus, we can see very clearly on the graph that there are 7 sets of Shemitah years with a total of 49 years that finalized precisely on Yom Kippur 2015 (9/23/15). So, From 6/7/67 to 9/23/15, there are precisely 17,640 days/ 360 days/ year = 49 years. All of this can be verified by using Timeanddate.com. By the way, this is the reasoning for using the 360 days/ year when calculating the days leading up to the death of the Messiah.
Messiah’s Jubilee is the 7 Weeks from Daniel 9:25
So, we see that the Messiah’s Jubilee is the 7 weeks from Daniel 9:25 and is the reason why there is a separation of the 7 and the 62. In reality, the Messiah’s Jubilee is a double prophetic fulfillment of the 7 weeks. Notice from the Decree to the 2015 Jubilee Graph that there are two 7 weeks, the 1st beginning back on 446 BC and the other that began on 6/7/67. Thus, logically, we can count the weeks because, once again, the prophetic clock once again began precisely on 6/7/67. The math is simple…
62 weeks + 0 (the Church Age) + 7 (the Messiah’s Jubilee) = 69 weeks (the completion of 69 weeks)
Thus, Yom Kippur (YK) 2015 (9/23/15) initiated Day #1 of Year #1 of the 70th week and Yom Kippur 2015 initiated the 50th Year of Jubilee. In addition, day #1 of the 2nd year of the 70th week began on Yom Teruah 2016. Keep in mind that it is the beginning of the Civil Calendar of the Jewish month of Tishri that initiates a new year on Yom Teruah (YT) / the Feast of Trumpets.
The 70th Week Connection
The month of Tishri is a Shemitah Month or the 7th month from the first month of Nisan. Again, by following the math and simple logic, we discover that we are right now in the 6th year of the 70th week as of the date of this post. Here is the math…
Day # 1 of Year #1 of the 70th week … Yom Kippur 2015 (the new year initiates on YK on a jubilee)
Day # 1 of Year #2 of the 70th week … Yom Teruah 2016
Day # 1 of Year #3 of the 70th week … Yom Teruah 2017
Day # 1 of Year #4 of the 70th week … Yom Teruah 2018
Day # 1 of Year #5 of the 70th week … Yom Teruah 2019
Day # 1 of Year #6 of the 70th week … Yom Teruah 2020
Day # 1 of Year #7 of the 70th week … Yom Teruah 2021 (9/8/21)(BEGINS THE SHEMITAH YEAR) (THE SHEMITAH YEAR ENDS YK 2022)
Thus far I have used simple math and logic to discuss the connections from the Decree to the 2015 Jubilee Graph. I pray that you have a better understanding of where we are in terms of the prophetic clock because the hour is short. There is so much relevant information that I would love to indulge on and explain, but I need to keep this post on point.
So you can see that the 70th week is not the week of tribulation as most prophecy experts believe, but rather is the following week, which begins YT/YK 2022. My goal in future posts is to help to explain the Final Week ( YT 2022 to YT 2029).
In the meantime, you can purchase a digital copy of my book, Messiah’s Jubilee for only $4.19 that includes ultra high definition images and graphs and start reading right now.
Hopefully, you are able to see by now that this up and coming Yom Teruah/ Yom Kippur 2021 will be a milestone moment for all of humanity. My strong held belief is that it represents the Groom coming for His Bride. Will you be ready?
